Focusing is an experiential process that accesses the wisdom of the body, deepens one’s connection to one’s emotional life, and is a useful tool for stress reduction and insight.

This process was originated by Gene Gendlin, Ph.D. who created a series of specific steps that brings us into our moment to moment experience. Those who learn this technique or are skilled at being present in the felt sense awareness of the body have a high rate of success in psychotherapy and a deepening sense of well being. Dr. Gendlin created this process and has Focusing Institutes throughout the world in several countries in Europe, Asia and in America.
